Student Leadership plays a pivotal role in all aspects of Lourdes Hill College life. We seek to offer our students many opportunities to develop and demonstrate their leadership skills. These skills are key in navigating twenty-first century learning.
We believe our leaders across the school wholeheartedly assist with the creation of a College culture of respect, tolerance and commitment to courage. We particularly focus on the distinct approach of “giving others the space to be themselves.”
It is in the formative adolescent years of Years 7-9 where students begin their journey toward future leadership roles through dedicated lessons in our wellbeing curriculum. Students develop understanding of and skills in courage, integrity, patience, tolerance, resilience, reflective deep thinking, and commitment to action through service, persistence and respect. In Year 9 students can apply for a wide range of Middle School Leadership roles within House, Service and Co-curricular areas.
