Sport is a valued part of life at Lourdes Hill College and we are committed to offering a broad range of sporting activities providing developmental opportunities for individual skill, teamwork, leadership, and self-discipline in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. LHC has an inclusive approach to participation and tries to offer as many teams or groups in an activity as required by student interest, venue and coaching availability.

Lourdes Hill College participates weekly in the Catholic Secondary Schoolgirls Sports Association (CaSSSA) competing against 13 other Catholic girls’ schools across South-East Queensland.

Our aim is to provide a holistic, structured and balanced program of sporting activities for all students regardless of their sporting abilities. In doing so, we aim to foster and develop the following outcomes through participation in sport:

  • The development of character that reflects the College ethos and philosophy
  • The acquisition of new skills and physical abilities to enhance personal and team performance
  • The development of a sense of team, House and College spirit
  • The development of a long-term sporting habit for life
  • The development of overall health and wellbeing of individual students
  • The provision of expertise that allows students to pursue representative sporting opportunities.
