Catholic Education in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition is committed to developing students who will engage with today’s world as grounded, hope-filled young people who are equipped to lead wisely, to listen deeply and to treat their neighbour and their environment with justice, love and the compassion of Christ.

Our two Junior School Service Groups provide an introduction for students to be of service to their neighbour. Junior School Service Groups are open to all students in Years 5 & 6 and meetings are conducted fortnightly at lunchtime. Our Groups aim to raise awareness of important issues related to their causes.

SPARCLES

SPARCLES is the Junior School arm of the SPARC Service Group at LHC which stands for Students Protecting and Restoring Creation. This group is concerned about the environment and what can be done to sustain it for future generations. Our initiatives for sustainability encourage students to think and act in ways which respect our environment.

Mini Vinnies

Mini Vinnies in the Junior School arm of the St Vincent de Paul Service Group at LHC. Mini Vinnies is an introduction to the St Vincent de Paul ethos of compassion, empathy and helping those in need in the local community. Students in this service group help promote initiatives such as the Winter and Christmas Appeals which require donations from our College community to help families in our community.
