Maggie shortlisted for Queensland Training Awards - 02 June 2016

Year 12 student, Maggie de Groot, has been shortlisted as a regional finalist for the School Based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Award, as part of the Queensland Training Awards (South East Region). There were 660 nomiees statewide for the Queensland Training Awards this year.

Maggie is completing a Certificate II in Animal Studies (Veterinary Nursing) through registered training organisation, Animal Industries Resource Centre (AIRC). Her employer is Koala Park Veterinary Surgery in Redland Bay.

Maggie showed considerable initiative in finding and undertaking the work experience that led to this opportunity. She is delighted to be following her chosen career path whilst still completing secondary school.

Maggie’s employer, colleagues, her trainer and our College community agree that Maggie is very worthy of being shortlisted for this award.

Regional finalists will go on to compete at the South East Regional Final Presentation Ceremony on Friday 29 July 2016.
