House Welcome Evenings - 24 March 2016

Over the last month we have enjoyed eight wonderful evenings bringing each family at LHC into their House family.

The House passion, friendships and sense of fun was evident as the intensity of the trivia competitions on the evening ramped up. The coloured cakes at the cake stall, the bottled House branded water, the youngsters enjoying the skipping overlooking the river and the perennial favourite lob-a-choc, all contributed to a wonderful sense of community. Who can forget the squeals when the House cake arrived – iced to perfection in the colour of the House.

Each evening began with a House Liturgy reminding us all to follow the lead of the Good Samaritan and “go, do likewise”. The family copy of “Shine” - the LHC Centenary history book was issued to all those families present. If you were unable to attend the family evenings, the family copy is available at the administration reception counter on Level 2 of the Bernadette Centre so please encourage your daughter to collect your copy from there.

Congratulations must go to the House Pastoral Leaders and House Councils who created great atmosphere and the opportunity to come together. Many thanks also to the parents who cooked almost 3000 sausages, served the food and made other parents, especially the new Year 7 parents, feel so welcome.
