Mirragin Moments - Indigenous Leadership Camp - 23 February 2016

Last weekend, Year 9 Mirragin student and Middle School leader, Mikayla-Haze Adams-Houston, had the unique opportunity of participating in the Indigenous All Stars Leadership Camp in her home ground of North Stradbroke Island. The camp is an initiative of the NRL and one of the aims is to “inspire others to reach beyond their potential through the message of Learn, Earn, Legend. “

Mikayla had the opportunity to meet many of the players, including Greg Inglis, and perform several dances for the players such as the Merrigimpa dance which retells the story of the sea eagle and the mullet. A highlight of the camp for Mikayla was, “having the opportunity to train with the All Stars team and share stories about life and life skills.”
