|Brittany receives QUT’s premier scholarship - 02 April 2015|
Lourdes Hill College graduate, Brittany Darbyshire, has been awarded the QUT Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for 2015.
The $10,000 academic scholarship is awarded each year to a small selection of high achieving students to assist them with their tertiary studies.
Brittany, who achieved an OP2 last year, has just commenced a Bachelor of Vision Science at QUT. Upon successful completion of this three-year program, Brittany will receive automatic entry into the two-year Master of Optometry program.
Brittany said she hopes to work as an optometrist in the future, but is also considering a career in medicine.
Brittany said she was very grateful for the support she received from her teachers at Lourdes Hill, in helping her to achieve her academic goals.
“Their endless support and guidance contributed massively. Whether it was giving me extra questions or explaining things endless times, it was a huge help,” she said.
We wish Brittany well in her studies and look forward to keeping an eye on her progress.
