‘Once in a lifetime’ experience for LHC choirs - 18 August 2014

The Lourdes Hill College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers were privileged to work with prominent choral conductor and music educator, Dr Rollo Dilworth, on Friday 8 August in Duhig Hall. This was a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience for our students and staff.

Dr Dilworth is a composer of note, a music educator of acclaim and a wonderful choral festival leader, clinician and conductor. He is especially highly regarded for his work with young singers.

Both students and staff were inspired by his knowledge of choral and vocal pedagogy, passion for music-making, easy-going nature and the remarkable way that he made the sound of each choir change and grow.

With the Queensland Catholic College’s Music Festival (QCMF) following from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 August, this workshop was a perfect opportunity for the choirs to acquire another perspective on their singing and performance.
