LHC set to raise the bar for Project Compassion
On Tuesday 4 March the College’s newly appointed Middle School Leaders were accompanied by Middle School Deputy Principal Mrs Deb Langford to St Stephen’s Cathedral for the launch of Project Compassion.
The campaign was officially launched by Archbishop Mark Coleridge.
Project Compassion is an annual campaign delivered by Caritas Australia during the six weeks of Lent.
Each year, Caritas invites individuals, organisations, schools and communities from all over Australia to participate by helping raise money to end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.
In 2013, Lourdes Hill College was proud to be the highest fundraising school in Queensland for Project Compassion, raising a total of $22 000.
The College is hoping to achieve even bigger and better things this year, with over $2000 already raised.
We encourage parents to speak to their daughters about how Lourdes Hill families can contribute to this worthy cause.
