LHC Students Recognised in VET Awards - 02 August 2018

Over the past week, two of our senior students celebrated success in their Vocational Education and Training (VET) studies.

Year 12 student, Tallulah Tutt (pictured left) was recognised by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council as a Finalist at the Salute to Excellence Awards. Tallulah attends TAFE Brisbane and studies Tourism and Hospitality. She was shortlisted from a large pool of talented students and recognised as a future leader in her industry.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student, Mikayla-Haze Adams-Houston (pictured below) was recognised as a Finalist in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year category at the Queensland Training Awards on 27 July. Mikayla-Haze was nominated after completing a Certificate III in Screen and Media at Brisbane’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community radio station, 98.9FM.

Both students have represented the College with pride and have proved themselves to be exemplary ambassadors for VET in schools. Congratulations, Mikayla-Haze and Tallulah!
