|Lourdes Girls March Proudly on Anzac Day - 27 April 2018|
Thank you and congratulations to all the members of our Spirited Community, including LHC students, parents, siblings and teachers, who were involved in this year’s Anzac Day services.
On Monday, the four Middle School leaders, Amelia Reid, Jess Muir, Karrine Kanaan and Georgina Cadman, along with Sts Peter and Paul’s students, attended the Brisbane Anzac Day School Service at Anzac Square where they laid a wreath.
On Tuesday at our College assembly, our liturgy was focused on Anzac Day and we prayed for our service men and women, past and present, within our wider community.
On Anzac Day, more than 70 Lourdes Hill students and seven members of staff marched at the 2018 Bulimba Anzac Day service. Many girls proudly wore the medals of their grandparents and other relatives. College Captain, Gemma Lucas, was a proud flag bearer and College Captain, Chelsea Groundwater, together with Middle School Leader, Karrine Kanaan, laid a wreath at the service on behalf of the Lourdes Hill community.
Thank you to Mrs Witham who very kindly baked 70 Anzac biscuits for the students to enjoy at the end of the service. Many other students proudly attended in LHC uniform at other services across Brisbane and we thank you all for your attendance.
