Lourdes Hill celebrates outstanding OP results - 02 February 2018

Queensland’s OP results were released on Saturday 16 December, with Lourdes Hill College students achieving some outstanding results.

Four of the College’s 2017 OP-eligible graduates received an OP 1, with an additional 15 students receiving an OP 2. Combined, 11.4% of our OP-eligible graduates received an OP 1 or 2 – the College’s best result to date.

A further record-breaking 26.7% of the College’s OP-eligible Year 12 students received an OP 1 to 5.

The above graphs demonstrate our strong results. Additionally, we can report that 89.8% of our our OP-eligible graduates achieved an OP 1-15, which is the best result of this kind for LHC in the history of the OP system in Queensland.

Lourdes Hill students also achieved great outcomes in the tough competition for tertiary places, with 95.9% of our applicants receiving a tertiary offer. Overall, we are delighted with the 2017 academic results and I congratulate the students, staff and parents who worked hard to nurture the culture of academic excellence that provided the foundation for this outcome.

A special mention must go to 2017 College Dux, Zoe Genrich, as well as Emily Hardcastle, Keira Bakes and Chloe Gane who achieved an OP 1. All these students worked extremely diligently and demonstrated consistent determination through their two senior years.

Congratulations also to the 15 students who achieved an OP 2: Phoebe Blackwell, Ashlee Daunt, Jessica Ferguson, Bridget Forester, Emily Gribben, Lillian Jurss-McGuckin, Amy Lubrano, Clara Luu, Natalie Otway, Grace Perkins, Emma Perrier, Lucy Scanlan, Shannon Terris, Hannah Thompson and Clare Wan. These are outstanding results and representative of a journey of academic excellence.

Finally, congratulations to staff who have actively contributed to the processes of rigorous data analysis, out of which evolved the innovative teaching and assessment practices that have been the cornerstone of the positive trend in our OP outcomes.
