Female leaders share wisdom with Year 11s - 27 April 2017

Last week, Year 11 students attended a Women in Leadership Forum in Polding Theatre, where they heard from a panel of three female leaders from the community.

The girls were interested to hear the perspectives of Di Farmer MP, Member for Bulimba, Inspector Virginia Nelson, from the Rockhampton City Patrol Group (Capricornia Police District) and Julie Rainbow, Director – Clarity Road, on being a woman in leadership.

The women spoke of their individual leadership journeys, as well as what they believed were the qualities of a good leader. They also passed on their advice to students on how to succeed as a woman in leadership.

Students were in awe of the diverse roads of these three magnificent women, taking stock of where they are in their own leadership journey.
